What is Interlock Mechanism?
Questions | Answers |
What does the interlock mechanism do? | The interlock mechanism in the dresser restricts the opening of multiple drawers simultaneously, ensuring compliance with ASTM F2057-23 STURDY safety standards. Only one drawer can be opened at a time. |
Why introduce the interlock mechanism? | Our priority is the safety of our users. Dressers manufactured post-June 2023 will incorporate this essential safety feature, significantly lowering the risk of tipping incidents. |
Can customers opt to remove the interlock mechanism? | We strongly advise against removing the interlock mechanism, as it is a mandated safety component as per ASTM F2057-23 STURDY compliance standards. |
Is the interlock mechanism easy to operate, especially for parents or caregivers? | Yes. Even a little gap in one of the drawers will prevent the other drawer from being opened. |
If a customer has issues with opening the drawers, please refer to the suggested troubleshooting methods that are available on the CX Portal (Quality Solutions) or the Mopio Website (Troubleshoot Videos). In case the issue persists, kindly seek advice from OPS / SEA Quality Team.
*Please note that Brooklyn 3-Drawer Dresser shares the same interlock mechanism with the Blake 3-Drawer Dresser. All troubleshooting methods and spare parts of Brooklyn can be used on Blake as well.
